All-in-one compact powerhouse
Jasper Monitor 18 Active is a natural extension of our flagship Jasper series. It is a revolutionary product that allows you to forget about the inconvenience of external amplifiers and speaker cables, all thanks to the built-in amplifier, WiSA support, and Stereo Hub. It does not mean sacrificing the sound quality. As in the passive model, it features the signature state-of-the-art characteristic of the larger Jasper series models in a compact size. The sound is mature with precise, colorful, and detailed reproduction of the whole range. Despite its small footprint, it also surprises with the fabulous musicality, stereophony, and scale of records. Every note transports the listener into a new dimension of sound pleasure and excellence. All of that in the visually striking and exquisitely finished enclosure, unique to the Jasper series, improving the sound quality even further.
Carefully selected drivers for ultimate sound
Jasper Monitor 18 Active features two drivers from Danish Scan-Speak, carefully selected based on their technical parameters and sound consistency. The 18 cm Revelator is responsible for reproducing midrange and low end. Its characteristic notches reduce diaphragm distortion and dissipate its standing waves, resulting in unprecedented control and resilience of the bass, as well as expressiveness and palpability of vocals. The top is entrusted to a silk dome tweeter with one of the lightest vibrating systems in speakers of this type, with the dome weighing only 0.18 g. It delivers extreme speed, undistorted details, and lightness in reproducing the finest nuances of the record.
Form follows function
Both drivers with the amplifier are housed in a rigid body crafted from high-grade, thick MDF boards, with the front and back made in “sandwich” technology. With additional reinforcements, the enclosure is free of resonances that negatively affect the sound. The characteristic curved front and back prevent the formation of standing waves in the enclosure and equalize the acoustic centers of the speakers in the crucial mid-high range section, which translates into the consistency of presentation and stage.
Comfort without compromise
Jasper Monitor 18 Active has a top-quality amplifier module with 150 watts per driver discreetly integrated into the back of each speaker. It operates in a modern, highly efficient, and energy-saving Class D, translating into excellent sound quality and energy efficiency. The advanced DSP processor has allowed our designers the freedom to fine-tune the system, optimizing the sound performance according to the design goals. All speakers in the Jasper Active series utilize WiSA – a widely recognized wireless standard in the audio industry that ensures lossless sound transmission and ease of connection with other devices using this technology. With the dedicated Stereo Hub, you can freely use your existing electronics, such as CD players, DACs, or TVs. The free, dedicated Pylon Audio app, available for iOS and Android, allows for easy configuration of the entire system (Stereo Hub + speakers). The system has WiFi and Bluetooth modules, ensuring convenience and fast operation. There are also balanced XLR analog inputs for the highest-quality wired connection. The active version of Jasper also offers compatibility with services such as Spotify Connect, Chromecast, Airplay, and Roon.
