Focal 100 ICW6-T
SELECT OPTIONS:
100 ICW6-T
2-way coaxial speaker
The elder brother of the 100 ICW5-T, the 100 ICW6-T wall and ceiling loudspeaker features a 16.5 cm driver. Benefiting from Focal know-how, it delivers natural sound, rich bass and silky highs, all with controlled directivity for extended sound coverage. Like all 100-T Series speakers, it is equipped with a transformer that adapts its power to a 70/100 volt installation, ideal for large spaces (shopping malls, hotels, restaurants...).
FOR OPEN SPACES
The 100-T Series loudspeakers feature an adjustable power transformer that adapts the power of each loudspeaker, enabling them to be daisy-chained together in a 70V/100V installation. They guarantee clear, intelligible sound in large spaces, while minimizing the number of amplification channels required.
100-T SERIES, THE SOUND OF OPEN SPACES
FOCAL KNOW-HOW
The loudspeakers' Polyglass membrane delivers a natural, uncolored midrange and rich bass. This is combined with an aluminum inverted dome tweeter for silky treble and optimum sound dispersion.
COMPACT AND DISCREET
Compactness and shallow mounting depth characterize the 100-T Series in-wall and in-ceiling loudspeakers for discreet integration. Installation is made easy thanks to mounting brackets with optimized grip and ready-to-paint grilles.
TECHNOLOGIES
INVERTED DOME TWEETER
Optimum space dispersion
The inverted dome tweeter has been a Focal signature since 1981, offering the property of being a true micro-speaker. The curvature of the dome is much less pronounced than that of positive domes. This results in better space dispersion and very low directionality, unlike ribbon tweeters. The inverted dome tweeter therefore generates unrivalled dynamics, enabling sound engineers to precisely control the dosage of compression. The precision of the image (height, width and depth) is remarkable, making it easy to position each instrument. What's more, a waveguide has been developed to perfect spatialization and further enhance the inverted dome's very low directionality. In the horizontal plane, the frequency response is within +/- 0.5 dB. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage.
POLYGLASS MEMBRANE
Well-defined mids
The diaphragm, the key component of a loudspeaker, is at the heart of our acoustic engineers' research. Polyglass technology, exclusive to Focal, consists of applying fine glass microbeads to a cellulose pulp cone. This process reconciles the excellent damping of paper with the rigidity of glass. The stiffness index is almost 10 times that of polypropylene. Adjusting the mass-rigidity-damping ratio results in a remarkably linear frequency response curve, right from the membrane design stage. This innovation also significantly increases definition in the midrange register.
