REGA Neo
NEO PSU MK2
Turntable Power Supply
The Neo MK2 PSU is compatible with the following Rega turntable models:
P3-24 / RP3 / Planar 3 2016-current / RP6 / P5 / P7 / RP40 special edition / RP8 Or any older Rega turntable fitted with our aftermarket 24v upgrade kit.
Using the same DSP (digital signal processing) generator found in the Planar 10 power supply the Neo MK2 is built upon a high stability crystal.
The DSP generator will divide the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the platter at the selected speed whilst producing a near perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the 24v motor. Fine speed adjustment is made via the rear panel using the supplied custom Neo trim tool (supplied).
Planar 6 and Planar 8 turntable models which include the Neo will now ship with the MK2 Neo supplied as standard.
REVIEW & AWARDS
Rega Neo turntable PSU upgrade - Read More
"I compared the Neo to the TTPSU that is supplied with the RP8 (surely a situation that will change soon) and found it delivered a tighter sound that had greater transparency and allowed more low level details to come to the fore. It’s a taut and tidy result that makes the standard power supply sound a bit vague and muddy. Timing didn’t change markedly but the presentation is calmer which means more music and less distortion is coming out of the speakers. All in all this is a very worthwhile upgrade whose benefits become more apparent with every record you spin. I suspect that it would be equally beneficial with any of the 24V Rega turntables so well worth a try." - Jason Kennedy
