Excellent 3-way in-wall speaker

The icon of the 1000 Series range, the Utopia 1000 IWLCR bi-amplifiable in-wall speaker sensitively reveals the finest sonic details of films. Thanks to its Focal technologies and numerous speaker settings, installation customization is total. For the ultimate home cinema system, the Utopia 1000 Series subwoofer can be combined with the speaker to deliver exceptional bass.

PERFORMANCE

This Home Cinema loudspeaker features no less than seven drivers for breathtaking sound: four bass drivers, one tweeter, two midrange drivers. It offers the best performance in left, center or right (LCR) use, for a custom installation.

PERSONALIZATION

Different loudspeaker level and directionality settings allow the system to be customized to the listening room. Appolito's swivel-mounted plate, which unites the midrange and tweeter, allows perfect adjustment to the listening position.

Perfect sound spatialization

Sensational listening requires perfectly spatialized, listener-oriented sound. When developing the 1000 IWLCR Utopia loudspeaker, our engineers designed an Appolito mounting plate that can be rotated (+/-15°). This vertical assembly, with the midrange arranged around the tweeter, enables perfect adjustment to the listening position, and the best performance when used as a left, right or center channel loudspeaker.

"W" MEMBRANE

Perfectly defined midrange and bass

By developing and manufacturing its own membranes, Focal pushes the limits of innovation in acoustics. The sandwich "W" membrane of the loudspeakers plays an essential role in sound reproduction. It consists of two sheets of glass placed on either side of a central foam body; a sandwich construction that enables us to master the three key parameters of a good loudspeaker: lightness, rigidity and damping. This flagship membrane of Focal know-how perfectly optimizes the frequency response curve, providing low distortion and total listening transparency. Sound is the ultimate in precision.

"M" PROFILE

For ever greater impact

If the material of a membrane is essential, so is its shape. Focal engineers worked on an "M" profile for the glass fibre "W" membrane. This "M" profile is the fruit of many years of research and our expertise in membrane geometries. Produced in a single piece (without a core cover), it achieves, among other things, a significant reduction in harmonic distortion, better sound dispersion and optimal power handling. A major Focal innovation that can be found on many products.

BÉRYLLIUM TWEETER

For exceptional treble

Membrane shape and materials are essential for high-fidelity reproduction. For exceptional treble, our engineers have developed the Béryllium inverted dome tweeter in pure Beryllium. Thanks to its unrivalled rigidity, Beryllium is the material of choice for high-frequency loudspeakers. Developed and patented by Focal, the pure Beryllium inverted dome is capable of covering more than five octaves (1,000 - 40,000 Hz) for perfect perception of micro-details.
