ARCAM / 16-Channel AV Processor
Choose the processing. Choose the power.
The AVP45 is the control and processing center for a theater built with separate power amplifiers. It does not power passive speakers itself. That separation lets us choose amplification around the speakers and room, instead of asking one receiver chassis to do every job.
The House of Stereo perspective
Where the AVP45 fits.
Sixteen channels of processing, balanced and unbalanced preamplifier outputs, modern HDMI switching and Dirac Live give the system considerable flexibility. That flexibility is most valuable when it is planned. Bring us the speaker layout, existing amplifiers and any expansion ideas; we can help turn a long connection list into a system that makes sense.
At a glance
AVP45 specifications

Choose the processor around the system you want to build.
The AVP45 supplies sixteen channels of processing with both sixteen-channel RCA and balanced XLR preamplifier outputs. It contains no speaker power amplifiers. That separation lets you choose amplification around the front speakers, surrounds and heights rather than asking one chassis to do every job.
Matrix channel assignment supports flexible layouts, with subwoofer assignment restricted to channels 4 and 11–16. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and AURO-3D are supported. Seven HDMI inputs and three outputs provide the video connections, while three RCA line-input pairs and a balanced XLR pair accommodate analogue sources. Planning amplifier gain, cable routing and channel assignment is part of the installation, not an afterthought.
Plan the channels before buying the boxes
Dirac Live room correction is included in the platform; Bass Control and Active Room Treatment are upgrade options requiring the appropriate licences. The measurement microphone and 5m USB cable are listed among the supplied accessories. Follow the linked guide for microphone calibration and measurement positions.
An immersive layout needs the right combination of processing channels, power-amplifier channels and powered subwoofers. Send us the intended layout, speaker models, room dimensions and existing equipment. We can check the channel map, amplification, HDMI sources and ventilation before an installation becomes an expensive puzzle.
Radia AV Control, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Google Cast and Roon Ready are listed by ARCAM. Network playback and the coaxial and optical inputs have different format limits; see the specifications rather than assuming every socket accepts the same signal.

A few useful answers
Can I order this online?
Please call House of Stereo at 904-642-6677 to order. We will confirm availability, system compatibility and delivery details with you.
Will this power my speakers?
No. This is a source component or processor, not a speaker amplifier. It needs suitable amplification or an appropriately configured active speaker system.
