Focal Aria Evo X 7.1
with REL T/9x
A true high-fidelity theater system built around one idea: every channel should sound like it belongs to the same performance.
Most home-theater packages are assembled around channel count. This one is assembled around sound.
The Aria Evo X family gives the front, center, side, and rear channels the same sonic vocabulary: Focal's natural-sounding Flax diaphragms, wide-dispersion TAM tweeters, and the same emphasis on clarity, speed, and tonal balance. The REL T/9x then extends the system into the bottom octave with the kind of speed and control that lets it work for music as convincingly as it does for film.
The result is not simply a 7.1 package. It is a system that can move from a quiet two-channel recording to a full-scale movie soundtrack without changing personality.
Seven matched Focal channels. One REL foundation.
Every version keeps the same center channel, four Aria Evo X N°1 surround speakers, and REL T/9x subwoofer. The only question is how much front-stage scale your room calls for.
Aria Evo X N°1: compact, fast, and tonally consistent
The N°1 is the quiet hero of this package. Four of them handle the side and rear channels, surrounding the listening position with the same Flax-cone naturalness and TAM-tweeter openness heard up front. Because the voicing remains consistent around the room, effects move cleanly through space instead of sounding like they are being handed from one unrelated speaker to another.
In the all-bookshelf version, another pair of N°1s takes over the front left and right channels, creating the most compact and tonally uniform version of the system.
Aria Evo X Center: dialogue with body, scale, and intelligibility
The center channel is where a theater system either comes together or falls apart. Dialogue, front-stage effects, and much of the emotional focus of a film live here. Focal designed the Aria Evo X Center to match the rest of the line, using the same Flax-driver and TAM-tweeter philosophy so voices remain natural and front-stage pans stay believable.
That matters just as much at moderate listening levels as it does when the system is turned up: clarity should come from resolution, not brightness.
From compact refinement to full-scale authority
The center, surrounds, and subwoofer stay fixed. Your choice of N°1, N°2, N°3, or N°4 determines how much scale, bass weight, and dynamic headroom the front of the room delivers.
Exactly what each 7.1 package includes

Aria Evo X N°2 — the balanced floorstander
The N°2 is the natural step into a floorstanding front stage. Its 3-way architecture gives movies more physical scale and gives music more effortless weight, without turning the system into something visually or sonically oversized. For many medium-size rooms, this is the sweet spot.
Aria Evo X N°3 — more drive, more dynamics
N°3 adds another woofer over N°2, increasing dynamic authority and bass impact while keeping a relatively slender footprint. This is the version we would point toward when the system needs to be as convincing with two-channel music as it is with a film soundtrack.
Aria Evo X N°4 — maximum scale and authority
With dual 21 cm bass drivers and a dedicated Flax midrange driver, N°4 gives the system its largest and most effortless presentation. This is the choice for bigger rooms, higher playback levels, and listeners who want the front pair to stand on its own as a serious full-range stereo system.
REL T/9x: bass that supports the system instead of announcing itself
The T/9x is the flagship of REL's T/x range, and it is here for more than explosions. Its job is to add weight, scale, and extension while keeping the speed and articulation necessary for music. When properly integrated, it should make the entire system sound larger and more complete—not make you think, “there is the subwoofer.”
For theater, that means more convincing impact. For music, it means greater body, dimensionality, and foundation.
Built as a system, not a pile of boxes.
That is the point of this package. The speaker family stays coherent, the front stage can be scaled to the room, and the subwoofer is chosen because it can keep up with the Focals musically as well as cinematically.
