Ø Audio × House of Stereo
Ymir.
Scale without spectacle.
Ø Audio’s clean-sheet flagship brings a 76 mm carbon-diaphragm compression driver and 12-inch carbon-fiber woofer into a room-conscious two-way design.
The House of Stereo perspective
Flagship thinking.
A human-scale footprint.
Ymir is not an enlarged Icon 12 or Verdande. Ø Audio starts again with a new compression driver, waveguide, woofer, crossover, enclosure and support system. The result is a reference loudspeaker designed to deliver effortless dynamic range while remaining practical in real listening rooms.
Its 93.5 dB sensitivity and benign 8-ohm minimum create unusually broad amplifier possibilities for a speaker of this scale. System matching still matters; House of Stereo can help evaluate room size, placement, amplification and delivery before an order is placed.
Price is for a stereo pair. Ymir is available by consultation and is not offered for online checkout.

Quad Vertex SoundField
Control begins
at the wavefront.
A 76 mm carbon diaphragm operates through Ø Audio’s Q.V.S.T. constant-directivity waveguide. The geometry is designed to manage dispersion and maintain a stable tonal balance beyond a single narrow listening position.
The large diaphragm covers the critical midrange as well as high frequencies, reducing the handoff demands between drivers.
Low-frequency architecture
One twelve.
No excess.
The 12-inch carbon-fiber composite woofer uses an internal damping core to combine stiffness with controlled behavior. Three mirror-symmetrical bass-reflex ports per speaker support extension to a specified 26 Hz.
Rather than chase driver count, Ymir concentrates on two wide-bandwidth sources and a carefully managed acoustic handoff.

Structure before ornament
Ten millimeters
of steel up front.
A 10 mm stainless-steel front baffle provides a rigid reference for the drivers. Behind it, the tapered cabinet and asymmetrical internal geometry work with the rear port arrangement to manage stored energy.
The assisted first-order crossover uses custom copper-foil capacitors and resin-potted inductors. Torque-limiter terminals help preserve consistent cable contact.
Mechanical grounding
Decoupled
with intent.
Polished stainless-steel outriggers widen the speaker’s support footprint. Height-adjustable two-stage feet use a tungsten-ball interface for resonance control and precise leveling.
The system is designed as part of the loudspeaker, not as an afterthought beneath it.

Two material expressions

Ymir is offered in two matte wood finishes. Both retain the same construction, performance and pair price.
