Building on our development of the SRX XL AC cable almost a year prior, we now apply a similar approach towards SRX XL speaker cables to achieve a new benchmark in performance without compromising SRX XL‘s flexibility. Across the line, we’ve scaled up the number of its internal hand-made air-dielectric pure silver high-current geometries. We’ve added additional pure silver geometries and additional pure silver AirString geometries to be able to offer a new world standard where high conductive pure silver conductors in an air dielectric are concerned. With SRX XL speaker cables, we’ve developed an all-new UEF compound applied it to our matrix shielding, which further lowers each cable’s noise floor while lessening restraints a shield may have on signal transmission. The cables are then run through a further improved high voltage treatment, resulting in cables that sound even more open and accurate than the original SRX. The SRX XL takes SRX’s industry-leading dynamics to a whole new level while also improved nearly all aspects of its performance, including soundstaging, lower noise floor, and increased high-frequency extension with added smoothness.

In our journey to design our latest flagship SRX XL series, we developed an entirely new UEF compound to elevate the performance of our previous Matrix Shielding, which further lowers each cable's noise floor while lessening restraints a shield may have on signal transmission. We apply this highest level of shielding to our new SRX XL cables for a significant jump in performance over the standard SX. SRX and Master Tuning Bullets developed for the SRX series cables further refines and enhances the loom's ability to cancel noise that would otherwise cause high frequencies to sound harsh or fatiguing.

Redefining Refinement

SRX XL cables come standard with the most potent and musical SRX Master and Gold carbon fiber UEF Tuning Bullets in our company’s 30-year history. The bullets are specially voiced for the SRX cable series so you can strike the perfect balance between detail and musicality for your system. Both Gold and Master bullets are handcrafted in our Southern California Factory from carbon fiber and aircraft aluminum, with the Gold bullet plated in 24k gold not only for aesthetic beauty but also to help voice the bullet to its intended role as the most musical option for specific systems. To use SRX Carbon Fiber Tuning Modules, allow your SRX cables to settle into your system for 48-72 hours, and then experiment with your two options on a cable by cable basis. Start by inserting a Gold Bullet and then compare to the Master option and select the variant that makes music in your system. Gold Bullets have a warm and liquid balance that is also more open and transparent than our other warm-biased tuning bullets. While Master is more extended and detailed but the option that will work best and sound neutral is totally system dependent. If you voice your SRX cables one pair at a time, you will find one color that works best in most applications, plus a few that perform better with the alternate option. This process is how you will get the best from both Gold and Master bullets when arriving at a bespoke cable loom voiced for your unique system. Note, UEF Tuning Bullets work 100% outside the signal path!

SRX XL High Voltage Conditioning

The new SRX XL High Voltage Conditioning is our most advanced process for treating cables with 1,000,000 volts of electricity at specific frequencies and pulse modulations for long durations, creating a canal in the conductor material and contact points at the molecular level that allows electrons to flow more freely. This new process improves upon the SRX High Voltage Conditioning process by employing new extended duration sweeping frequency plots and advancements to our Tesla Coil, resulting in SRX XL cables to sound even more open and accurate than the cables before them.

UEF Carbon Elevators lift your cables from the floor as they uplift fundamental aspects of system performance, including low-frequency weight and control, mid-range clarity, and high-frequency extension. Perhaps most dramatic is the effect on your system’s ability to portray soundstage scale with improvements in front to back, side to side, and verticle image placement, all with a greater sense of the sound field wrapping around your listening position. Our first cable elevators were made from aluminum after extensive double-blind listening tests, where aluminum exhibited superior sound quality compared to materials like plexiglass, wood, and ceramic. The one material we did not test was Carbon Fiber due to its difficulty to cut and fabricate. Fast forward two years, and we have perfected the use of carbon fiber in SR products, including our state-of-the-art SRX cable loom, Galileo Active Ground Block, Active Ethernet Switch, and MiG SX footers. So we built a set of carbon fiber elevators and compared them to our Aluminum cable risers. We found the same improvements as all SR products using carbon fiber, namely, increased resolution, inner detail, and clarity.
