You do not have to fill a rack to take music seriously. The L/R X brings the amplifier and network player into a stereo speaker pair. What still deserves your attention is the part we care about most: how it fits the room and the way you listen.
Cambridge gives the X the largest bass system in the L/R range. That makes it the model we would discuss first when this is your main listening setup and you need more output capability than the smaller models offer. We will also tell you when a smaller model makes more sense.

Give the picture a stereo pair.
HDMI eARC connects a compatible TV. We’ll help you check your television’s audio settings and the placement around your screen.
Keep the turntable.
The built-in MM phono input can simplify a compatible vinyl system. Let us check your cartridge before you decide what else you need.

A pair squeezed into a cabinet is a different proposition from a pair on stands with space around it. Send us a room photo, the approximate dimensions and your listening distance. That gives us somewhere useful to start.
Is the X the right L/R for you?
The S is our starting point for a desk. The M brings streaming, TV and vinyl into a smaller package. The X is the one to investigate for greater output demands and deeper specified bass extension.

Does the L/R X need a receiver or streaming box?
No separate amplifier or network streamer is needed: amplification and StreamMagic are built in. Add your music service and any sources you want to connect, such as a compatible television or turntable.
Can I connect my TV and turntable to the L/R X?
Yes. It provides HDMI eARC for a compatible television and an MM phono input for a suitable moving-magnet cartridge. A turntable with a built-in phono stage can instead feed the RCA line input.
Is the L/R X always the better choice than the M?
The X has more amplifier power and larger drivers, but placement and listening distance still decide whether that extra capability is useful. Compare the L/R M living-room guide before choosing, especially if space is tight.
