ARCAM / Network Streamer

Your next album deserves a better entrance.

The ST25 puts a dedicated streaming platform and a 6.5-inch display in front of the amplifier you want to keep. It combines a built-in DAC with a linear power supply and a new digital board designed to keep interference away from sensitive audio circuitry. For many systems, upgrading the source is a more sensible move than replacing everything downstream.

The House of Stereo perspective

Where the ST25 fits.

Use its RCA output into an amplifier, or optical or coaxial digital into a separate DAC. The display gives album artwork a proper home, and the Radia app handles setup. If you are comparing it with the ST5, consider the interface, platform and system context—not just the highest resolution printed on the box.

The upgrade goes beyond the display.

The ST25 adds a 6.5-inch artwork display and a redesigned streaming platform, but the internal changes matter too. ARCAM uses a six-layer digital board with a ground plane, ESS Hyperstream IV conversion and a linear toroidal power supply during playback. A separate switching supply serves standby.

It supports compatible PCM files up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256, with gapless playback. Stereo RCA outputs use the internal conversion; optical and coaxial outputs allow an external DAC. The streaming-file ceiling is not a promise that every digital output passes every format at that rate. Its balanced internal DAC configuration should also not be confused with balanced XLR output sockets: the analogue connection is RCA.

Connecting it to your system

Connect the stereo RCA outputs to a line-level input, never a turntable phono input. Use an optical or coaxial output when the destination DAC is handling conversion. This component does not directly power passive loudspeakers.

Establish the network connection, install current software and choose the service or local library you actually use. For an existing system, the useful questions are which DAC you want to hear, how you want to control playback and whether you need amplifier control integration. We can help make those choices without turning a music system into an IT project.
