RPM 9 Carbon
High-end turntable with 9“ Evo tonearm
Beautiful and clever design: Carbon surface & 7,2 kg platter
The RPM 9 Carbon uses a new extra heavy chassis which features a special CNC machined MDF plate that incorporates hard resin coated steel pellets to form an extra heavy precise sandwich construction. A special complex heat treatment and a carbon surface coating ensures superior low resonance levels. The mass-loaded chassis is effectively decoupled from its surface using magnetic feet. With two magnets located in the feet, the turntable is practically floating. The studs in the feet are only used for keeping them centered. Combined with a new special polished aluminium platter with internal TPE damping and a vinyl layer on top, the inverted ceramic main bearing delivers an absolute stable turntable speed with extra low rumble. The extra heavy outboard motor unit is equipped with a precise motor control and features a built-in switch between 33 & 45 rpm. Last but not least the non-compromise 9“ Evo tonearm with conical carbon-fibre armtube and inverted bearing design ensures perfect tracking, even with demanding cartridges.
The RPM 9 Carbon is available with or without Ortofon Quintet Bronze cartridge. Highly flexible top-grade copper internal wiring. Delivered with topgrade 5P phono cable „Connect it CC“ with RCA plugs (XLR as an option).

REVIEW & AWARDS
Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon SuperPack - Read More

"The great strength of this turntable is that it has no weaknesses, without being boring in the slightest. The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon is a technically sophisticated turntable that price-conscious connoisseurs will consider as a hidden champion to retire with. " - Carsten Bussler
Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon review - Read More
"Although there are decks that can carry a rhythm track with more verve and dynamic articulacy, the Pro-Ject has plenty of sonic skill and aesthetic class to rationalise its asking price. " - What Hi-Fi?
Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon Turntable - Read More
"The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon continues the brand’s outstanding run of sonic and technical improvements in affordable vinyl playback. In fact, throughout my evaluation it never seemed out of its league, even facing the heady heights of upper-crust setups, including my own much pricier kit. Interested parties should also know that the RPM 9 Carbon is a worthy addition for the long term—it’s got enough resolution and sheer musicality to ensure that audio upgrades elsewhere in the chain can be confidently purchased without fear of outdating the Pro-Ject. Without qualification, the RPM 9 Carbon is a terrific package, certain to give a great many lucky owners years of vinyl-spinning thrills." - Neil Gader
Review: The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon turntable with Sumiko Blackbird - Read More
"The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon, with its modified 9cc tonearm, and Sumiko Blackbird low-output moving-coil cartridge proved themselves to be worthy of praise on multiple fronts. This is a unique, and aesthetically-pleasing turntable design rooted in long-term research & development toward producing compelling, musical, and dignified playback, with a tonearm executed to match, and a cartridge capable of keeping pace (rhythm, and timing) makes this combination a thought-provoking musical companion – albeit more cerebral, than brawny – for those interested in a long-haul analog relationship." - Rafe Arnott
Pro-Ject RPM 9 carbon - Read More

"The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon is undoubtedly a highly sophisticated turntable and its minimalist style combines well with the modern materials that are used in its construction. The carbon-fibre structure of the 9CC Evolution tonearm matches well with the plinth but important as looks are, if you’re shelling out this sort of cash for a turntable and tonearm you want it to perform exceptionally well and here the decks doesn’t disappoint either.
The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon turns in a highly polished performance with every bit of vinyl placed onto its sumptuous platter, and is one deck I’ll be very sad to say goodbye to." - Hi-Fi Choice
Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon Turntable, Tube Box DS2 Phono Preamp, Sumiko Starling Cartridge Review - Read More

"The Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon turntable is a fine product. It is silent and smooth. The accompanying Sumiko Starling cartridge amazed me with its tracking capability and the amount of detail in the music that it gave. The Pro-Ject Tube Box DS2 phono preamplifier is a good choice for this particular turntable. The three-part system delivered very euphonic distortion that analog-lovers will very much enjoy. If you want to get this turntable, and you don’t already have a cartridge and phono preamplifier, this is a package that really works well. " - John E. Johnson
