Hi-Fi Floorstanding Speaker – Signature Delta
The Delta model was the company’s starting point in terms of research for this range. This speaker is a well-designed technological gem and a symbol of TRIANGLE’s acoustic expertise.
Built and assembled in Triangle’s workshop located in Soissons, France, the Delta Signature is a 3-way floorstanding speaker equipped with 4 drivers for a detailed and refined sound.
On the top of the cabinet sits a semi pod-mounted horn loaded tweeter, one 16 cm (6,5 inches) paper midrange for naturel reproduction of vocals and two 16 cm (6,5 inches) woofers. Each woofer is separate by a different cabinet enclosure. The woofer rear wave is discharged by a single twin-vent, a Triangle patent technology.
The Signature Delta will appeal to any High-Fidelity lovers looking for a high-performance, well balanced and musical loudspeaker. It is a perfect choice for rooms between 15 and 40 m2.

Craftsmanship
Luxury French Manufacturing
The range conception and design are 100% implemented in France at TRIANGLE’s workshop in Soissons. Thanks to the experience gained from the Magellan range, TRIANGLE is currently offering a form of luxury craftsmanship with SIGNATURE, born from the passion and the work of its teams.
Each item is made and assembled with uncompromised precision to strive for manufacturing perfection and irreproachable sound.

LUXURY WOODWORK
The Signature cabinets are made from 7 high-density fiberboards for an overall thickness of 21mm. This high-density cabinet helps to considerably reduce the speaker’s vibratory behavior.
In view of embellishing this woodwork and of achieving a special luster, either seven or ten coats of paint are added during production in order to reach the “piano lacquer” finish. The cabinets are carefully polished to remove any flaws before adding a new layer of paint.

SIGNATURE TECHNOLOGIES
Over the years, TRIANGLE has developed and patented innovations, improving upon the mechanics and vibrations of loud speakers. Every driver has been entirely redesigned.
A new 185mm aluminum basket with better ventilation, new version of treated paper cones to increase clarity and top quality components to benefit from greater transparency and a more refined tonal balance.
Other unique technology such as the twin vent and the SPEC system play their part in making TRIANGLE’s speakers unique.
SIGNATURE TECHNOLOGY
Over the years, TRIANGLE has developed and patented innovations, improving the mechanical and vibrational behavior of speakers. The entire speakers have been redesigned. The drivers have been optimized, the cone profiles redefined and the components improved for ever greater finesse and transparency.

Driver in DIE-Cast aluminium
TWEETER TZ2550
The new phase plug has been designed to go with the 25 mm titanium dome. The tweeter horn is made from 100% injected aluminum originally developed for the Magellan project. The tweeter’s larger surface offers a greater dispersion of high frequencies. The compression volume of the back chamber has been significantly increased to provide better shock absorbance, thus preventing the return of sound waves within the dome.
These enhancements have improved the quality and detail of high frequencies, finesse and transparency, as well as minimal sound distortion.

Paper cone driver offering clear sound
MID-RANGE
The 185 mm aluminum basket has been entirely redesigned to provide better ventilation to its double-layered coil. It is equipped with a small pleat and peripheral short travel suspension. The new version of this treated paper cone provides increased clarity at this critically important frequency level of sound reproduction. The phase plug has been replaced by a dust cap of identical shape and size to prevent air leaks.

Double ferrites for precise bass performance
WOOFER
This driver benefits from numerous enhancements producing a faster and deeper bass. It is equipped with a double magnet motor, a double-layered coil and an inverted half-roll rubber suspension, all of which ensure a faster speaker response. The cone profile was developed to be purely used in low frequencies. To make it more rigid, the glass fiber membrane is supported by a second paper membrane.

Versatility
BOOKSHELF AND CENTER CHANNEL WOOFER
Specifically designed for this range, with the objective of creating a bass unit capable of reproducing low frequencies without a large volume load, while maintaining linearity in the high frequencies. It uses the same aluminum basket and treated paper cone to achieve the perfect tonal balance.
The dust cap shaped as a phase plug reduces power surges and prevents any agressive sounds.

High quality copper alloy
TERMINAL
Each model is equipped with a terminal for bi-wiring or biamplification. The terminals are designed and assembled by TRIANGLE. Made of high quality copper alloy they provide an excellent conductivity.
They accommodate a 5 mm diameter cable and banana plugs with a locking system for excellent security.

FILTERS AND INSIDE CABLES
The performance optimization of each loudspeaker has enabled TRIANGLE to reduce the amount of components needed in its filters and audio signal path. As a result, the range benefits from greater transparency and a more refined tonal balance.
The new filtering system, separating the bass section and the midrange/treble section on the Delta and Alpha models, eliminates the emission of electromagnetic waves and improves the finesse of the midrange/high frequencies. As with all Triangle speakers they are protected against power surges.
To achieve the most optimized results the internal cable was only chosen after multiple listening tests. An element that is often forgotten, Triangle has always paid particular attention to the wiring. The cable provides a perfectly clear sound through medium frequencies and a solid, rigorous sound through low frequencies. The combination of these two cables minimizes resonance and enhances performance. A special form of insulation, made from polyethylene dielectric, helps to create a cleaner and smoother sound. In addition, the PVC-jacket on the outside, maintains a low friction coefficient.

TWIN VENT
A unique element to the Twin Vent is that it discharges the rear wave created by the two separated bass drivers through a single vent. This system means that each of the drivers can operate in complete isolation.
Increasing the volume does not disrupt the tonal balance, the only remaining distortion limit is the driver mechanics. The results in terms of power handling are amazing. The listening experience offers a dynamic, solid, well sustained bass.
REVIEW & AWARDS
(Test) Triangle Signature Delta speakers: when comfort meets speed - Read More

"In conclusion, Triangle has created a new benchmark in the field. We greatly appreciated its lively and transparent side. It is an extremely fresh listening experience and a truly astonishing openness for the price. And this is added to such a degree of finish and manufacturing that they are as beautiful to hear as to see. In addition, with our NuForce DDA-100 integrated amplifier (€599) and provided you use a good source, the Delta already offer more than convincing results, some medium-power tube amplifiers should also suit them very well. There is therefore room, with them, to start from an entry-level amplifier, and then evolve with other more expensive solutions, they will know how to give it back to you. " - Pierre-Yves Maton

"A great speaker? With my brain still flooded with endorphins from listening to the Smashing Pumpkins at 100dB, I am indeed tempted to use that word for this $8000/pair design. But there is strong competition in the category of mid-priced tower speakers. The Revel Performa3 F208 ($5000), which Erick Lichte reviewed in July; the Vandersteen Treo ($6490), which I reviewed in March 2013; the Monitor Audio Platinum PL200 ($9000), reviewed by Robert Deutsch in April 2010; the PSB Synchrony One ($5500), which I reviewed in April 2008—all are superb-sounding speakers, as is the Joseph Audio Perspective ($13,000), reviewed by me in July. But none of them equals the Triangle Signature Delta in jump factor, and the fact that the Delta achieves this without compromising neutrality—something that almost-40-year-old Wharfedale couldn't do—is indeed commendable. Unless you like your music tame and uninvolving, this is a speaker well worth an audition. The French do, indeed, do things differently. " - John Atkinson

"Triangle hasn’t taken the easy route with the Signature Delta, either in the development or in making a ‘safe’ bland sound. Instead, Triangle has made a loudspeaker that excels in passion and grace and fire. You get the feeling with this speaker, perhaps more than any other at its price, that you don’t get to choose it, it gets to choose you. This is a loudspeaker that comes with a bonding process, and once that happens, there’s no turning back. " - Alan Sircom

" Add this terrific timing ability to the strong dynamics and impressive resolution and you have speakers that are capable of standing toe-to-toe with the very best of the opposition.
Triangle may not be the first name that comes to mind when thinking about five-grand floorstanders, but on this evidence it should be." - What Hi-Fi?

Recommended room size | The Signature Delta is recommended for listening rooms with an area between 15 and 50 m2. Find a model in the Signature range that suits your listening room: • from 15 to 30m2: Theta • > 30m2: Alpha |
Amplifier and Power Handling |
Recommended Amplifier power : from 60 to 300 Watts (8 Ohms) * The power handling of a speaker is the average continuous power that the speaker can accept without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier more powerful than the permissible speaker power by limiting the volume to 70% of the maximum capacity. Conversely, an amplifier that is too underpowered will clip and create distortion, which can also damage the speakers if it is used beyond its capacity. |
