The Antal 40th floorstander features a new rose gold anodized magnesium dome tweeter, offering high efficiency and controlled distortion. Magnesium combines two desired qualities: lightness and rigidity. It also benefits from two new bass drivers. The use of our composite membrane made of wood pulp, flax and carbon fiber, associated with a generously sized engine, ensures a remarkable delivery of the lower frequencies.

The rich and clear sound of the midrange driver made out of natural cellulose paper TRIANGLE is known for, perfectly complements this acoustic design with surprising performances.

Each speaker integrates an accessory kit with various adaptable spikes to be used depending on the flooring. They enable decoupling by eliminating unwanted vibrations; so only the sound quality remains.

The 40th Anniversary Edition has been designed and developed with thoroughness to offer you an exceptional music experience.

This speaker will fit beautifully in rooms ranging from 30 to 50m2.

French Craftsmanship

For the past 40 years, TRIANGLE has been designing and assembling its prestigious speakers in our workshop in Soissons. The team of engineers is working closely with production, thus ensuring unparalleled manufacturing quality and compliance with very precise and detailed specifications.

TRIANGLE’s traditional craftsmanship is based on our employees’ long experience, some of whom have been with the company for more than 35 years. The different components are controlled and carefully assembled, to achieve the utmost finish and acoustic quality.

Each speaker is subject to strict acoustic controls. Measurements in an anechoic chamber and a numbered certificate of authenticity ensure the uniqueness of the loudspeakers produced in the factory.

Magnesium Dome The unprecedented use of a composite dome in rose gold anodized magnesium, offers the tweeter high efficiency, controlled distortion, and excellent directivity. Magnesium combines two desired qualities: lightness and rigidity.	Midrange in cellulose paper membrane  The material made out of 100% natural cellulose paper is a paper fiber without any surface treatment, supplying a natural sound without coloration.	New generation Woofer Providing significant performance upgrade, th Antal 40th Anniversary incorporates a new generation of bass drivers for high impact and musicality. The membrane is a unique compos of two types of wood pulp coupled with flax combined with carbon fiber, limiting distortior despite its long throw. The driver has a generc sized engine, ensuring excellent control and g sharpness.

RARE WOOD VARIETY & PINK ALUMINUM

Three new shades of wood add undeniable elegance to this 40th Anniversary Edition. The various tints and wood grains of the Santos rosewood are enhanced by a glossy finish for a unique look with enchanting reflections. The blond Sycamore shade seduces by its elegance and serenity. Adorned with a single layer of mat varnish, the material and nature of the wood take center stage. And the golden oak is authentic and slightly honey-colored wood.

A subtle rose gold anodization of the speaker’s trim rings completes this limited edition.

Dedicated Speaker Stands

Optimized acoustic seal

The S04 40th Anniversary speaker stand will be perfect for the Comète 40th speakers. The speaker can be screwed to the stand for more rigidity, decoupling will then be done at the base, following the same principle as the Antal 40th.

The stand can also be filled to better absorb vibrations. It includes cable routing at the rear for harmonious and discreet integration.

DECOUPLING SPIKES

Two sets of decoupling spikes: the first one in rose gold aluminum, adjustable in height and provided with lock nuts for surfaces like carpets, and the second one in rubber for more rigid surfaces.

These accessories enable decoupling by significantly reducing the transmission of unwanted vibrations to the floor, thus improving the listening experience.

"At first, the Triangle Antal 40s' presentation destabilized me. Then a moment came when I got them. How much of that was due to break-in or the habituation process, I still can't say. What I can say is that after a few days of listening, my mind has completely bought into the illusion they weave.

The Antal 40's sonic balance is akin to what might be expected if the Focal K2 936s and the Monitor Audio Silver 500 7Gs had a baby, and that baby's main features included a mix of the low-end presence and image corporeality of the Focals with the transient speed and midrange clarity of the Monitor Audios.

The Triangles reveal so much of a note—its tone, pathway, variations, and aftereffects—as to make one note sound like several. "This is a good looking and refined pair of loudspeakers that Triangle should be very proud of – they are a fitting anniversary statement. They are, in the main, unfussy with the kind of music you throw at them and are as happy with the chilled out vibes of Floating Points or the hectic techno of Surgeon.

Where they do excel is in their upper mid-band and high-frequency performance. This suggestion of presence and air brings a lot to the table in my opinion and most folk will love them. However, whilst some speakers manage to pull off the mid/upper-band thing at the expense other aspects of their performance, the Antals come across as a bit of a revelation. Yes, they could go deeper, but the truth is that most folk won’t miss this and I know I didn’t for the most part.

What I did find was that on messy music (Butthole Surfers) the speakers were a little too refined to really get across the rawness and grime of the mix – this will be of little concern to most folk reding this, I’m sure.

Overall, what I think the Antal 40th Anniversary speakers is that they are a polished, coherent, and refined loudspeaker that will do justice to pretty much everything most folk will throw at them. Would I buy them…probably, I would." -

"You know a meal is amazing when you ask for more bread to wipe up the last remnants of sauce on the plate, because licking the plate would be rude. For the Triangle 40th Anniversary Antal loudspeakers I would prefer some bread, but I’d lick the plate if I had to – rudeness be damned. This speaker activates my musical palate like Pavlov’s dog.

Drooling aside, this speaker balances audio qualities like honestly no other speaker I’ve had the pleasure to review. Is it the best speaker I’ve reviewed? That’s a tough call as design choices between speakers create such different characters. I’ve had speakers with better bass, better imaging, better tweeters, etc. But I’ve not had any speakers, including those at twice this price point, with a better midrange. The balance of this speaker is simply stellar and I can’t praise it enough.

If I wasn’t on the hunt for a speaker at 3-4 times this price point I would buy this speaker – in a heartbeat. The value proposition for this speaker is stratospheric. If you are in the market for a speaker under $5k, hell a speaker under $10k, you need to check out the Triangle 40th Anniversary Antal. "In deciding against the all things to all people approach, consciously or otherwise, the Antal is very much Triangle’s birthday present to itself and its faithful. Sure, the Antal 40th Anniversary is nowhere near as polarising as its ancestors but, where I can say with a straight face that the Borea models are able to offer a performance that is sufficiently close to a mainstream benchmark to be right at the top of the tree at their price point, this is a little different. There will be a few people who sit down to listen to this speaker and will know it is not for them.

The thing is though, my pet theory that for something to be truly loved, it cannot appeal to absolutely everyone. There will be a significant group of people who will adore the Anniversary and I have to be honest, I count myself as one. This is a huge amount of speaker for the asking price. It makes many similarly priced items seem small and crude and it delivers a level of excitement, drive and sheer musical joy that many people will find irresistible. Triangle’s 40th birthday is being celebrated in the manner of someone content with the life they’ve lived so far and is happy to continue in the same vein. " These are just a very, very nice pair of speakers with no quirks or issues at any point. They are very good-looking, and very classic in shape, size, and finish. They just look like what a big proper floorstanding loudspeaker should look like. This is one of the few times I really prefer having the grilles on, for some strange reason.
