Synergistic Research / Galileo Lux / Ethernet cable
The network link.
Considered in detail.
For a wired streaming system, start with the connection you can see and the construction you can explore. Galileo Lux Ethernet brings SR’s digital design approach to the network path.

A visual guide
Follow the network path.
A typical wired-audio connection. The correct cable route depends on how your network is arranged.
An available compatible Ethernet port
RJ45 connection · choose your length
A compatible wired network input
Connection example, not a requirement to replace the rest of your network.
The details that matter
Understand the design.
6N silver conductors.
SR specifies pure 6N silver conductors for this digital cable, with a geometry developed around Ethernet rather than the analog Lux ribbon laminate.
Protocol-specific UEF.
SR describes a dedicated UEF compound around the conductor system. Its stated aim is to manage field conditions and the perceived noise floor.
Start with the port.
Check the physical connection and cable route first. A cable change is a listening comparison; your streamer and network still determine available services and operation.
SR’s technology descriptions identify its design approach and intended effects. Evaluate the result in the context of your own system.

Make the connection
A digital design
with its own architecture.
SR explicitly distinguishes Lux Ethernet from its analog cables: the analog ribbon laminate is not part of the Ethernet design. That distinction matters when comparing the technologies across the Lux family.

Before you choose
Match the system you have.
Where should I use it?
Between compatible RJ45 network ports serving your audio system—for example, from your switch to a streamer. Tell us your network layout if you want help choosing the run to compare.
Which length should I choose?
Measure the cable route, including the space behind the streamer and switch. Leave room for a relaxed bend and future service access.
Is the Ethernet version the same as the analog cable?
No. SR describes its Ethernet design as protocol-specific and explicitly omits the ribbon laminate used in the analog loom.
House of Stereo / Listening notes
Give the comparison
some context.
Keep the streaming service, recording, playback level and streamer settings consistent. First check that the network is stable; then compare familiar music without changing the rest of the system.
Let’s get the connection right.
Tell us about your equipment, cable route and listening priorities. We’ll help you choose the configuration.
