Synergistic Research / Galileo Lux / USB audio cable
The right USB link.
In every detail.
A USB cable begins with the devices it must connect. Galileo Lux USB now offers the catalog’s 5m option alongside the existing lengths, with eight listed connector pairings and both finishes.

A visual guide
Choose the plugs.
Then choose the route.
USB connector names are not interchangeable. Match the source socket and the DAC socket before selecting a length.

The details that matter
Understand the design.
USB-specific construction.
SR explicitly states that the analog Lux ribbon laminate is not used in the USB design. Its geometry is developed around USB’s digital requirements.
Silver and field treatment.
SR describes pure 6N silver conductors with a USB-specific UEF compound. These are the manufacturer’s stated materials and design approach.
Read both ends.
The current connector choices include Type-A, Type-B, Type-C and Micro variants. Several are special-order configurations, as shown in the selector.
SR’s technology descriptions identify its design approach and intended effects. Evaluate the result in the context of your own system.

Make the connection
A USB design.
Not an analog cable
with different plugs.
The Lux family shares a design intention, but SR gives USB a dedicated architecture. Understanding that distinction helps you compare the digital cable on its own terms.

Before you choose
Match the system you have.
Which USB connection should I choose?
Tell us the source and DAC models if you are unsure. Type-B, USB 3.0 Type-B and the different Micro connectors have distinct shapes. The connector selector identifies the pairings currently offered.
Is 5 meters available?
Yes. The 5m Lux USB configuration is offered in both finishes across the listed connector pairings. We recommend confirming the exact devices and connector requirements for a longer run.
Does USB-C mean every USB-C device will work?
No. Matching the connector shape does not establish every device’s audio support, role or compatibility. Confirm that the source and DAC support the intended USB-audio connection.
House of Stereo / Listening notes
Give the comparison
some context.
Start by confirming reliable USB audio operation with your source and DAC. For a listening comparison, keep the player, sample rate, DAC settings and level consistent. Avoid changing several software or hardware settings at the same time.
Let’s get the connection right.
Tell us about your equipment, cable route and listening priorities. We’ll help you choose the configuration.
