Hi-Fi Floorstanding Speaker – Borea BR09
The Borea BR09 is a floor standing designed in the purest Hifi tradition. In its 1.1 meters height, it comprises technology and TRIANGLE know-how.
Its three-way design allocates a transducer to each frequency range for a precise vocal reproduction and depth at low frequency, whilst maintaining a wide soundstage.
The BR09 provides a physical make up similar to that of the most high-end systems. Its three 16cm bass drivers operate in a large “bass-reflex” enclosure, thus enabling the speaker to go down to 35Hz.
Thanks to its delivery of lower frequencies and its high-power handling, this speaker is perfectly suited to larger rooms (more than 30m2).
KEYPOINT

Perfomances

Awards
AN AWARD-WINNING RANGE
All speakers in the BOREA range received the prestigious EISA 2020-2021 “Best Value for Money Home Cinema Speakers” award.
The range has also been recognized internationally by the international press with several awards and prizes. This pride and quality mark BOREA as a range offering excellent value for money for accessing high-fidelity audio.
For a more immersive experience, the possibility of combining the speakers from the Borea range with the Tales 340 subwoofer will be a great option.
REVIEW & AWARDS
Triangle Borea BR09 - Read More

"Some have fingered the silk-domed tweeter used in the Borea range for sometimes drawing attention to grain or brashness elsewhere in the system. On Patricia Kopatchinskaja’s spellbinding recording of Ligeti’s Violin Concerto with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra [Naïve] the soloist and violin section explore the instrument’s 3.5kHz upper limit, and there’s piccolo at up to 5kHz. On some systems, these can be finger-nails-on-chalkboard moments, but in my room, with my system, I hardly felt a twinge of discomfort. Perhaps this is system-dependent. Perhaps the added low-end heft of the ’09 over the ’08 to an extent counterbalances any undesirable tendencies at the top end.
Either way, I can imagine that Oscar Wilde’s Lord Darlington would wholly approve of the Triangle Borea BR09. It is honest sonic value, a rare exemplar of strong but understated technical achievement for not a lot of money. " - Kevin Fiske

"When I first plumbed in the Boreas I thought there was a fault with the left-hand channels tweeter. There was a very slight tizziness and so I contacted Triangle’s press guy to tell them so and I took them out of the system – next day the left-hand channel went on my amp. This ability for the Triangles to highlight what was a very minor warning sign is pretty impressive I think."

| Amplification and Admissible Power |
Recommended Amplifier power: from 60 to 300 Watts (8 Ohms) Power Handling: 170W * The power handling of a speaker is the continuous power that the speaker can accept without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier more powerful than the permissible speaker power by limiting the volume to 70% of the maximum capacity. On the contrary, an amplifier that is too underpowered will clip and create distortion, which can also damage the speakers if it is used beyond its capacity. |

| Speaker Information |
• Type: Floorstanding speaker with front bass reflex port • Crossover: 3 Ways • Sensitivity (dB/W/m): 92dB • Bandwith (+/-3dB Hz): 35Hz-22,000Hz • Nominal impedance: 8Ω • Minimum impedance: 3.3Ω * The impedance of a speaker can be simplified as an electrical resistance. The lower is the impedance of the speaker, the more current the amplifier will have to deliver. - Nominal impedance is measured at a frequency of 1kHz - Minimum impedance is measured at low frequencies. TRIANGLE loudspeakers never fall below 3 Ohms, which means they can be used with almost all Hi-Fi and Home Cinema amplifiers. |
