ARCAM / 9-Channel Class G AV Amplifier

Cinema with the stereo taken seriously.

The AVA35 brings Class G amplification to ARCAM’s nine-channel theater platform. With 16-channel processing, it can anchor an ambitious immersive system while leaving room for external amplifiers as the layout grows. It is a strong candidate when music listening matters just as much as what happens when the lights go down.

The House of Stereo perspective

Where the AVA35 fits.

A theater receiver cannot rescue an incoherent speaker plan. We will help you decide which channels need amplification, how the subwoofers will work together and where calibration can help. The AVA35 supplies the processing and connections; getting those decisions right is what turns equipment into a convincing room.

Class G and flexible channel assignment.

The AVA35 combines nine Class G amplifier channels with sixteen-channel processing and matrix channel assignment. That flexibility is useful when external amplifiers enter the system: outputs can be assigned around the actual layout rather than forcing the layout around a fixed set of amplifier roles. ARCAM limits subwoofer assignment to channels 4 and 11–16.

It supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced and AURO-3D, with seven HDMI inputs and three outputs. The sixteen preamplifier outputs are RCA, not balanced XLR. For an all-separates system with balanced outputs, look at the AVP45. ARCAM specifies 145 watts into 8 ohms with two channels driven across the audio band, and 110 watts with seven channels driven at 1kHz.

Plan the channels before buying the boxes

Dirac Live room correction is included in the platform; Bass Control and Active Room Treatment are upgrade options requiring the appropriate licences. The measurement microphone and 5m USB cable are listed among the supplied accessories. Follow the linked guide for microphone calibration and measurement positions.

An immersive layout needs the right combination of processing channels, power-amplifier channels and powered subwoofers. Send us the intended layout, speaker models, room dimensions and existing equipment. We can check the channel map, amplification, HDMI sources and ventilation before an installation becomes an expensive puzzle.

Radia AV Control, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Google Cast and Roon Ready are listed by ARCAM. Network playback and the coaxial and optical inputs have different format limits; see the specifications rather than assuming every socket accepts the same signal.
