Synergistic Research / Galileo Lux / Speaker cables
From amplifier
to loudspeaker.
With intent.
Galileo Lux speaker cables bring the loom’s silver wire and ribbon construction to the final cable run. Explore the design, choose the terminations, and plan the route to your speakers.

A visual guide
Three construction groups.
One speaker connection.
SR’s published speaker-cable inventory lists these groups for a stereo pair. Conductor groups and UEF Cells are shown separately.
High-current AirStrings
14 AWG · 99.9999% silver
Monofilament AirStrings
99.9999% silver · sealed air dielectric
UEF Cells
Silver ribbon AirStrings · PTFE dielectric

The details that matter
Understand the design.
Wire and ribbon together.
SR’s speaker design combines high-current and monofilament silver AirStrings with silver ribbon elements in its UEF Cells.
Air around the conductor.
SR specifies a sealed air dielectric for the silver AirString groups and a PTFE dielectric for the ribbon-based UEF Cells.
The Lux treatment.
SR lists UEF Active Shielding, point-to-point wiring, 4% silver solder and factory high-voltage conditioning in the speaker-cable construction.
SR’s technology descriptions identify its design approach and intended effects. Evaluate the result in the context of your own system.

Make the connection
Plan the final run.
Keep the terminals in view.
Choose spades or bananas to suit your amplifier and speaker binding posts. For speakers with separate high- and low-frequency terminal pairs, matching Lux jumpers are available separately.

Before you choose
Match the system you have.
How do I choose the terminations?
Check the binding posts at both ends of the run. Select the spade or banana option that matches your intended connection. Ask us about mixed-end requirements before ordering.
Do I need a separate set of jumpers?
Speakers with separate high- and low-frequency binding posts may need terminal links when driven by a single speaker-cable run. The Lux Speaker Jumpers are sold separately. We can review your speaker’s arrangement.
What lengths are offered?
The selector offers 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 feet in both finishes and both listed terminations. Measure the route with enough slack for bends and access.
Consider the complete system
A matching Lux connection.

Give the comparison
some context.
Use the same amplifier outputs and speaker inputs during a comparison. Keep volume and speaker placement fixed, and compare passages with voices, acoustic instruments and controlled bass. Note the presentation you prefer after a longer session.
