Your CD collection is not finished with you.
Pull out an album, load the disc, and give it your attention. The PD-507T brings TEAC’s disc-mechanism experience to a compact dedicated transport, sending digital audio to the DAC you choose. No streaming queue to manage. No forgotten password. Just the record you meant to hear.
- Dedicated CD transport with optical and coaxial digital outputs.
- TEAC mechanism derived from the broadcast-proven CD-5020A.
- Semi-floating drive mount and top panel.
- Optional 10 MHz external clock input.

A mechanism with a working pedigree
The starting point is TEAC’s own CD-5020A mechanism, developed for demanding disc-playback applications. In the PD-507T, a semi-floating mount and specially tuned drive circuitry address vibration and the behavior of the transport itself. A semi-floating top panel and substantial aluminum side panels extend that mechanical attention to the enclosure.
A toroidal transformer feeds separated circuits, with dedicated supplies for clock and digital-output functions. You can disable an unused digital output. These are focused changes to a component with a clear assignment: read a CD and deliver its digital signal cleanly to the next stage.
An upgrade path, not a shopping prerequisite
The PD-507T operates with its own internal clock. A compatible 10 MHz reference, such as the CG-10M-X, can be added through the BNC input. There is no need to purchase an external clock just to start listening.
Choose the DAC. Keep the discs.
PD-507T → optical or coaxial digital cable → DAC → amplifier. An integrated amplifier with a suitable digital input can combine the last two stages. For a compact TEAC separates system, explore the UD-507 DAC/headphone amplifier/preamplifier and AP-507 power amplifier.
The coaxial RCA socket carries digital audio. It is not an analog line output, even though the connector looks familiar. The PD-507T has no internal DAC and cannot feed an analog-only input directly. If you want a player with conversion built in, compare the VRDS-701.

Before you place the order
Does it play SACD?
This is a CD transport. Choose it for audio CDs and compatible recordable CDs, not SACD-layer playback.
Is the PD-507T the same as the PD-505T?
No. These are separate models. The PD-507T adds refinements to power supplies, output selection and system usability. Our PD-505T page remains available for customers comparing or researching that model.
What else do I need?
A compatible digital input, the appropriate optical or coaxial cable, and an amplifier/speaker or headphone chain. The rear-panel photograph and manual are the quickest way to check the connections before buying.
